We All Live Downstream: A Guide to Waste Treatment That Stops Water Pollution

Was the main book available on composting toilets for ten years. This invaluable book makes it clear that we can all do something to preserve our most precious water.  It is a catalogue of compost toilets.  There are many illustrations, cartoons, poetry and a description of our local experience trying to clean up the healing springs of Eureka Springs.  See more at Compost Toilets.

This book available from National Water Center.

AquaTerra MetaEcology & Culture

AquaTerra: Metaecology & Culture is the most current book available on clean water concepts. It is a resource for people who care about water and includes articles on dowsing, the use of cattail reeds for low cost aquaculture systems, stream monitoring, swimming with dolphins, fuel from water, living water concepts, flow forms and much more.

Reading AquaTerra is more than just reading a book, it is an aesthetic experience.  The poetry and illustrations give another dimension.  We want to go beyond thinking of water as a resource.

This book available from National Water Center for $10.

Reconnecting with Nature
Finding wellness through restoring your bond with the Earth

by Michael J. Cohen, Ed.D.

Michael J. Cohen has been living, learning and teaching in the outdoors for 35 years. He has founded environmental degree programs with the Lesley College Graduate School and the Institute for Global Education. He currently directs Project NatureConnect, a workshop and Internet program for socially responsible environmental education.
