We have gone through another legislative session with heated debate on whether or not to fluoridate our drinking water. This has been a very emotional issue. However, it is now time to take the emotion out of the issue with a series of articles thanks to Vim and Vigor.
Getting back to basics, why are we putting a known POISON and CORROSIVE CHEMICAL in our drinking water? Worse yet, this poison also contains HEAVY METALS, SUCH AS LEAD AND ARSENIC. Remember, industrial grade chemicals are being used for fluoridation, which could contain up to 500 parts per million (ppm) of heavy metals, with very loose quality controls. In comparison, pharmaceutical grade chemicals could contain up to 20 ppm of heavy metals. Which grade would you prefer in your drinking water or, better yet, would you prefer zero heavy metals? Remember all the money spent to remove lead from many materials such as gasoline and paints. There is no question about the affects of heavy metal, such as lead, on the health and learning abilities of our young children.
When fluoridation, which is supposed to help our young children will actually hurt them, we need to ask is fluoridation truly a health benefit or more a health risk in disguise? Ask your dentist and medical doctor if they would advocate putting a chemical containing heavy metals in our drinking water? If their answer is yes, then it might be time to consider looking for a health professional who is more sensitive about exposing you to toxins, especially if you are chemically sensitive or have an auto-immune disorder such as lupus, cancer, Parkinsons, multiple sclerosis, or arthritis.
